Driftwood played at the Cherry Orchard Fun Day in Herne on Sunday 19th August 2012.
It was great to see Shorne Bedwell again and we were delighted he joined in with some songs on the bodhran - great drumming Shorne. Next time we'll make sure he brings his djembe!
It was another scorcher so we were very glad of the shade of the gazebo. Many thanks to Carol Davis for booking us. Also playing at the event were Joskins, and The Bottles.

Beer Festival at the Astor Theatre in Deal 17th & 18th August 2012
Driftwood played at the Astor Theatre in Deal during the Beer Festival held on 17th & 18th August 2012.
Part of the festival was to raise awareness of the Deal Maritime Folk Festival to be held from 14th to 16th September. It was great fun to play on the stage, but extremely hot.
Our thanks to all the staff at the Astor for their hospitality and for their contribution towards the Deal Maritime Folk Festival funds.

Market Inn, Sandwich on 5th August 2012
Driftwood had a great time at the Market Inn in Sandwich on Sunday 5th August 2012. Plenty of participation from the audience with the shaky eggs and when Lillian joined in with the singing of 'You are my sunshine' it was brilliant. Many thanks to Jeanette and Bob for their hospitality. We're looking forward to playing there again on Sunday 23rd September from 3pm.
